Celebrate August

1. Make yourself a new cocktail...
1 1/4 oz. Vodka 
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
Sour Mix or Bar mix
Mix in vodka and Blue Curacao, then fill the rest of your glass with sour mix. Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda, Pour over ice and garnish with a lemon slice! This blue drink will have you wired in minutes!

5. Glamp in your backyard...
Take your bed out to your deck.  
Bring the side tables, the lamps, the throw rug.  
Spend the night.  Sleep in.  I dare you.

6. Go for a Mini-Glamp...
Not quite brave enough for a full-fledged backyard glamping experience?  
Try this mini-version.  Just a twin bed, cot, or lawn lounger...
your best linens...down pillows...and Fluffy.

 Indulge in a picture-book (eye candy) in hammock...
OK...Totally minimal effort....grab a book and curl up in a hammock.

With your sweetie-pie, a group of BFF's, or alone.
The trick is...pillows, fresh treats, wine...wine

Forget the castles...think outside the box!  

10. Buy a staple...a wrap dress.
The perfect thing to throw on after a shower,
slip into on a cool late summer night (just add a sweater),
or pair with boots as fall comes knocking at your door.

11. Make your own Private Labels.
Cover up the "Helman's", the "Bullseye", the "Ajax"!
Design on your computer, print onto full-sheet label paper, stick them everywhere!

12. Be a Tourist in your OWN town for a day!
Visit the Chamber of Commerce...see the sights...take "touristy" pix!

13. Go for a Bike Ride!
Don't have a bike?  Rent one!  Get a bell, too! And ring it like crazy!  Or a horn!
~Tie on a basket and put a stuffed "Fluffy" in it~ 

14. Paint a Self-Portrait!
Make it interesting....use your OTHER hand!

15.  Buy School Supplies! (Even if you don't have school-kids).
Donate them!  Our schools need the help!
~And do this throughout the year, too~ 

16. Start a tradition...Family Game Night!
Pick up some games at your local thrift store or a garage sale:
Jacks, Puzzles, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders...
Make it a regular weekly thing. 

17. Make the best s'mores ever!
And eat them all!
