I am TICKLED PINK to share with you my dream come true...the Sally Jean Collection. During the Atlanta Gift Show (Americasmart) last week I launched my new jewelry line and was taken aback by the response. It is a moment I will never forget...sharing with buyers the little collage books where I create my artwork and having them "get it". Yes, there really are more silly & sassy girls in the world than you can imagine!
Eye candy for the soul...the Collection includes Initials, Fairies, Collagettes, Stix, Double Bubbles and....*NEW* Bangle Bracelets!
(...because a woman is made up of many moods...you can stack them!)
I couldn't be happier. A very special Thank You to my friends at SBDS...Ray, Gary, Jane, Stacy and everyone else! I am humbled that you believed in me...saw my vision...and executed it better than I could have imagined. I can't stop touching them...they are SOOOO Fondilicious!
The hardest part were the deadlines (I can barely think about Christmas 2011 in 2012, much less think about it in 2010!). The best part...peeling off the gel medium from my fingers after creating the artwork. Well, maybe that's not the best part. But I like doing that (hee hee). The best part is showing my father that...I'm not so odd after all...there are other fathers out there with silly little girls who painted rocks and played with GI Joe dolls and had funerals for the birds and fish their cat killed (tmi). And showing my librarian mother that there is a purpose to cutting up old books. And showing my brother (you know who you are) that yes, art can be a career.
Most of all...I have been inspired and my creativity has been fueled by the enthusiasm of my artful peers, students, friends, and customers. I am truly blessed to do what I love...thank you for loving it too.
